Light’N Up Cannabis Company In Flint, MI To Give Out 1,000 Turkeys

Flint, Michigan’s Light’N Up Cannabis Company is a locally- and veteran-owned cannabis company eager to give back to the community that has supported them. This Thanksgiving, they’re partnering with the Cannabis Equity Fund and the HERO Project USA to provide 1,000 turkeys to certain area residents.

Through the sale of Hero-branded products, the Hero Project USA raises donations to support Michigan veteran charities, helping to tackle problems like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), homelessness, domestic abuse, poverty, drug abuse, and suicide.

The Canna Social Equity Fund gives back to the community by helping to improve social equity efforts and support equitable development and entrepreneurship in the cannabis industry.

On Saturday, November 20, at the provisioning store in Flint, they will offer complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, and other non-THC items along with the turkeys. Complementary items are available for people either picking up a turkey or shopping at the store.

The participating vendors include: All Green Transport, Alpine Market, Apollo Organics, Coffee Beanery, Frosted Farms, Goldkine, Grown Roque, Leaflink, MKX, Monster Extracts, Narvona, Natural Stress Solution, New Genetics, OutFront Media, Pyramid, Select, Shattered Thoughts, Tuck Storage, Ubaked, WonderBrett, and Wyldfire.

“We wanted to do something meaningful for our patients and customers that have been so loyal to us – and to help the community at large. The last couple of years have been tough on everyone, and if we can get 1,000 families smiling and enjoying a meal at the Thanksgiving table this year, it will be a successful effort,” said Kyle Cohee, owner and founder of Light’N Up.

Founded in 2017 by three friends from Genesee County, Michigan, Light’N Up sells medical and recreational cannabis products. Light’N Up is Michigan’s only locally-owned/veteran-owned cannabis provider.

Light’N Up Cannabis Co. requires that each person receiving a turkey be 18 years or older, sign a liability waiver, and provide an email or texting address.
