Wana Brands, an edibles manufacturer, is partnering with Medicine Man dispensaries along with Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment to host COVID-19 vaccination clinics throughout the Denver metro area during Wana’s Summer of Quick Tour’s September stops.
“The cannabis industry has a lot to be grateful for. As a business lucky enough to have been deemed essential, we feel a social responsibility to do our part by spreading awareness and making the vaccine easily accessible,” said Sally Vander Veer, co-owner and CEO of Medicine Man. “It’s simply the right thing to do.”
Marking a critical milestone in early July, 70% of eligible Colorado residents had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. In subsequent weeks the state’s vaccination uptake slowed. With the approach of fall festivals, ski season, and college football in Colorado it is crucial to increase the state’s vaccination rate. The goal of this three-way partnership is to make vaccinations easy and convenient.
“While summer is winding down, the Delta variant is gearing up. It is more necessary than ever to provide access to the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Nancy Whiteman, CEO of Wana Brands. “We are using the launch of Wana Quick as a call to action to support issues important to the communities we serve, and we cannot think of a more important issue than protection against the coronavirus.”
Wana’s Summer of Quick Tour supports nonprofit organizations like Wildland Firefighter Foundation, We Don’t Waste, and HeadCount, among others. Customers at the various tour stops can enjoy music, games, prizes, and flash deals on Wana products. More information on upcoming tour stops is available at the Summer of Quick Consumer Microsite.
