Very well-known cannabis firm Hoban Law Group, which is based in Denver, merged with Clark Hill, a Michigan-based law practice with more than 650 lawyers spanning the U.S., Ireland, and Mexico. With the merger in place, founder Bob Hoban becomes the co-leader of Clark Hill’s Cannabis Industry Group and is head of the Denver office. Another leader on the Clark Hills cannabis group is Sander Zagzebski in Los Angeles.

While the terms of the agreement have yet to be disclosed, it’s still a massive deal that a cannabis-centered law firm has essentially gone international. This allows for Hoban Law Group to expand its presence as well as represent cannabis consumers from all walks of life.

The firm gave a statement at their press release saying, “They are both pioneers in the cannabis legal space who recognize what is on the horizon for the industry in the U.S. and abroad.” This is a great step in the right direction for marijuana reform, it’s shining a progressive light on new law practices.
