In a recent article from BuzzFeed News, California Attorney General Kamala Harris believes that it will only be a matter of time before marijuana is legalized in the Golden State. Advocates have been preparing to have recreational marijuana on the ballot for 2016, but having the Attorney General give the "green light" to legalization, should be positive reinforcement. “I think there’s a certain inevitability about it,” she said to BuzzFeed. Harris' family background may reflect her positive sentiment towards cannabis legalization. "I don't have any moral opposition to it or anything like that. Half of my family's from Jamaica."
