a still from the documentary film, Rolling Papers Not to be confused with actual rolling papers, South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas announced this Tuesday, that they'll be debuting the anticipated documentary film "Rolling Papers", a film depicting the rise of retail marijuana in Colorado during it's first year of legalization. What makes this film unique is the fact that it will be told through the eyes of journalists from not only the Cannabist but also the Denver Post, which should bring an in depth, analytical perspective to the narration, rather than typically biased marijuana coverage. Although the film has not been seen yet, thorough reporting on topics including but not limited to CBD oil, marijuana shopping, road trips to Uruguay, Cannabis Cup, and others, are expected to be covered. According to the film's director Mitch Dickman, he couldn't be more enthusiastic about the film's debut at a well known progressive film festival. "It's insane," Dickman told the Cannabist on Tuesday," and it's something that we dreamed about last year- that it would be crazy if we get the film done in time to premiere at a major festival like this. South by couldn't be a better home for this film and this story." Be sure to keep the "Rolling Papers" website on your radar for updated news and information concerning screenings.
