If you live in Los Angeles and think that having your marijuana delivered to you in a low-rider with elevated hydraulics seems too far fetched, think again.
According to the L.A. Weekly, Snoop Dogg, who has had his hand in the marijuana industry for sometime now, is deciding to diversify his investment portfolio, and who better to team up with than Eaze. The Doggfather's Casa Verde Ventures just dropped $10 million for a "Series A" investment in the marijuana delivery service, also known as the "Uber of weed", which has already launched in San Francisco and soon to be Los Angeles.
Snoop and Eaze plan on giving the most effective and efficient means in connecting patients to top notch dispensaries for marijuana in the Los Angeles area. Since opening nine months ago, Eaze has made well over 30,000 marijuana deliveries in the Nor Cal area, with no plans of stopping anytime soon.
Eaze's CEO and founder Kevin McCarty, already boasts of working with dispensaries that only offer the best quality products that are able to be delivered in less than 10 minutes, but large scale funding was still needed for the company to break out of the minor leagues and into the majors. Snoop's investment will assist in the hiring of 50 new staff for the service, as well as the $1.5 million in funding needed for further business expansion across it's current max of 34 cities.
Taking entrepreneurial notes from Bob Marley, as well as Willie Nelson, who recently announced this past month that he'd be sponsoring his own brand of natural medication for the masses known as "Willie's Reserve
", Snoop plans on cashing in on the next wave of musicians seeking their share of the marijuana monopoly, as long as he's willing to pay to play.
