Mylar bags are sealed with heat sealing machines, which are super easy to operate. We carry three varieties of heat sealers: two manual and one semi automatic. We highly recommend the semi automatic as it can seal ~ 30 bags in under a minute.

Because of Mylar’s synthetic qualities, it cannot be recycled in most general curbside recycling programs. However, there are recycling programs/centers that will accept Mylar, you may just need to do a little digging to find one in your area. There are also send-out recycling programs like TerraCycle that work to accept and repurpose all materials/packaging/products.

While everyone (including ourselves) advertises their Mylar regulated products bags as “smell proof,” there’s always a chance that trained dogs will catch a whiff of the goods within. The most common reason this happens isn’t because the bag is porous - rather, it’s often because the packagers were handling the flower and the bags as they filled each one. Their hands transfer regulated products oils/particles onto the outside of the bag, which any dog would be able to smell. To be extra cautious, wipe your regulated products bags down with a wet wipe.
