Mylar bags are sealed using heat sealer machines, which are very straightforward and easy to use. The ones we carry are either mostly manual or semi automatic heat sealers, but they both use the same general idea. Heated bands press together on either side of the top of Mylar bags (typically only a few seconds, depending on the bags’ thicknesses) which fuses the openings together! This is either done right above the zipper closure or, on bags without zippers, is done to the top ½ inch or so of the bag.

To open our Pinch N Pull bags, tear the heat sealed section off using the easy-tear notches. Then, locate the fingerprints on either side of the bag. Pinch each fingerprint using your thumbs and pointer fingers - your pointers should be on the outside of the opening and your thumbs should be inside, on top of the inner green ziplock material. Pull your hands apart while holding those spots and voila! The bag should open right up.
